Navratri in Bollywood Fims

After Eid and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations, it’s time for Navratri, Durga Puja, and Dussehra. People in North India fast and participate in Ramleela for nine days., Navratri is celebrated across the country in different manners, but with equal zeal. West Bengal celebrates the festival of nine nights with sumptuous Pandals and feasts while in Gujarat, people gather under one roof to enact Lord Krishna’s Ras Leela on popular Garba numbers. I bring a list of best Bollywood songs on which you can dance to show your moves during this Navratri.

The first song in my list is from the film Navratri released in 1955, starring Mahipal, Anita Guha and Bela Bose

The most Popular Navratri Song was "Ambe Jagdambe Kaali" written by Bharat Vyas and composed by Chitragupt

Another most Popular Navratri Song was from the 1968 film Saraswatichandra sung by Lata Mangeshkar, music was composed by Kalyanji Anandji

This  song is from 1979 film Suhaag The song is picturized on Amitabh Bachchan and Rekha

My most favorite of Garba song is this song from  Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Even the beginning of the song will make you want to get up from your place and break into an impromptu Garba. The song is a mixture of fast and slow beats. It is a playful song that everyone enjoys.

If you are thinking of having a foolproof performance ready for this festive season then Radha Kaise Na Jale, from Lagaan will be a good choice. This song was sung by Asha Bhosle and Udit Narayan

"Nagada Sang Dhol- from Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela will make every girl want to come to the floor.

Shubharambh from Kai Po Che is a modern version of Pooja Vandana that is performed before beginning any auspicious thing.

No list for dandiya songs could be complete without a Falguni Pathak song. This is a song that every 90s person would recognize, though this is not from the film but it plays on every Garba Pandal

10 Navratri Songs

Happy Navratra to all.
Navaratri is celebrated in different ways throughout India. In North India, all three Navaratris are celebrated with much fervor by fasting on all nine days and worshiping the Mother Goddess in her different forms. In East India this is the time for Durga Puja,it is the biggest festival of that region,The last four days of Sharad Navaratri take on a particularly dramatic form in the state of West Bengal in East India where they are celebrated as Durga Puja.
In Western India, particularly in the state of Gujarat and Mumbai, Navratri is celebrated with the famous Garba and Dandiya-Raas dance.
In South India, people set up steps and place idols on them. This is known as golu.In Karnataka, Ayudha Puja, the ninth day of Mysore Dasara, is celebrated with the worship of implements used in daily life such as computers, books, vehicles, or kitchen tools. In Kerala and in some parts of Karnataka three days: Ashtami, Navami, and Vijaya Dashami of Sharad Navarathri are celebrated as Sarasvati Puja in which books are worshiped.
