We (India) are all celebrating the 70th Independence Day on Monday and the celebration is not complete without some all time hit Hindi patriotic songs lined up in your music system. Hindi Film Industry has given several films on patriotism, which included a number of patriotic songs too. While some of the tracks, no matter how old they get, appear evergreen and soothe the ears, some other new age Hindi songs are also equally worth listening. Sunidhi Chauhan ( born 14 August 1983) is an Indian playback singer who began performing in local gatherings at the age of four and made her career debut at the age of 13, with the film Shastra (1996). During the year, she won the first singing reality show titled Meri Awaz Suno.
Her second breakthrough was released in 2000, with the song "Mehboob Mere",from Fiza which was picturized onSushmita Sen for which she received another Filmfare nomination.
Through her career, she performed mostly item songs and was described in the media as the "queen of item songs".
Sunidhi Chauhan received her third Filmfare nomination with the song "Dhoom Machale" (2004) followed by two more nominations during the next year for "Kaisi Paheli" and "Deedar De".
2006 was one of the most successful years in her career, where she was bestowed with her first Filmfare award for her rendition of the song "Beedi" and further two nominations for "Soniye" and "Aashiqui Main".
The following year, she was prominently recognized for the title song of Aaja Nachle (2007) and "Sajnaaji Vaari", both critically and commercially well received.
Year 2010 marked her International singing debut, where she was featured in the song "Heartbeat" alongside Enrique Iglesias. That year she also got her second Filmfare award with the item song "Sheila Ki Jawani"
In 2011, Chauhan collaborated with Pritam for four films, out of which she was praised for her rendition of the slow paced track "Te Amo" from Dum Maaro Dum.[104] Her performance in Sangeet Siddharth-Siddharth Haldipur composed sensuous club song "Aa Zara" from Murder 2 was widely acclaimed both critically and commercially.The year marks Chauhan's first collaboration with her husband, Hitesh Sonik by recording the song "Tu" for My Friend Pinto.
In 2012, Chauhan appeared as a judge for the second time with the 6th season of Indian Idol, along with the judges from the previous season and Asha Bhosle as the fourth judge.She teamed up with Amit Trivedi for the lavani track "Sava Dollar", where her "boisterous and bouncy voice" was praised along with her Marathi accent. The duo also worked with another Marathi styled song "Navrai Majhi" for Sridevi's comeback film, English Vinglish.That year "Gun Gun Guna" from Agneepath along with Udit Narayan,"Kyon" from Barfi! and "Yaariyan" from Cocktail, performed with Papon for the former and Arijit Singh for the latter and some item songs during the year, including songs like "Halkat Jawani", "Kafirana", "The Disco Song" and "Laila". were very popular.
In 2014 her song "Kamli" from DHOOM 3 became a hit she was nominated for GIMA Award for that song.
Sunidhi's work has received praise from veteran artist. Lata Mangeshkar calling her the "Numero Uno" singer of the generation said: "Sunidhi can sing all kinds of songs. And her voice and style have all the elements that Gen- Now hankers after".Asha Bhosle,Sadhana Sargam,Usha Uthup and Alka Yagnik .In 2002, at the age of 18, Chauhan married director and choreographer Bobby Khan after working on the music video for Pehla Nasha but their marriage couldn't last long,they divorced.
Later, Chauhan began a romantic relationship with the music composer Hitesh Sonik whom she was friends with, since the days she won Meri Awaz Suno. After dating for more than two years, Chauhan married Sonik on 24 April 2012, at a low profile wedding ceremony in Mumbai.

Sridevi's next masterpiece Sadma released in the same year with Kamal Hasan is hailed as a classic and remains the most definitive child-woman performance of her career.She got her First Filmfare Award for that role.
The following year Tohfa released and turned out to be the biggest hit of 1984.Filmfare magazine declaring her "Unquestionably No.1" on their cover.
In 1986, came the snake fantasy Nagina which saw Sridevi play an 'ichhadhaari naagin' The film turned out to be the second biggest blockbuster of the year with Box Office India stating that Sridevi remained "the undisputed No.1.Sridevi's climax dance number 'Main Teri Dushman' also remains one of the best snake dances in Bollywood. 1986 also saw Sridevi giving box-office hits in Subhash Ghai's multi-starrer Karma and Feroze Khan's Janbaaz. According to CNN-IBN Bollywood Blockbusters, "Sridevi's popularity grew so much that despite having a guest appearance in Janbaaz, she completely overshadowed the film's lead heroine Dimple Kapadia.
In 1987 her film Mr India released Directed byShekhar Kapur, it became one of the highest grossing hits of the year.She played a goofy crime journalist in that film.She was a complete show-stealer in the film,The dance number 'Hawa Hawai' is one of the unforgettable numbers of Sridevi.
In 1989 came Chaalbaaz which had Sridevi in a double-role playing twin sisters separated at birth. Filmfare ranked her performance 4th in its list of '80 Iconic Performances of Hindi Cinema.Her slapstick rain dance 'Na jaane kahan se aayi hai' became a big hit She got Filmfare award for that film.
The same year also saw the release of the Yash Chopra romantic saga Chandni with Sridevi playing the title role.The film emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 1989,The music of Chandni became a Platinum Success with Sridevi's famous dance number 'Mere Hathon Mein Nau Nau Choodiyan' became the craze.
In 1991 her film Lamhe produced and directed by Yash Chopra released Sridevi played both mother and daughter in that film,Her performance brought her much acclaim.Her folk dance number 'Morni Baga ma' also became a rage.The filmfailed commercially but received high critical praise and has over the years become a cult classic.
In 1992, Sridevi starred in the epic Khuda Gawah opposite Amitabh Bachchan. The actress played a double role again as an Afghani warrior Benazir and her daughter Mehendi. Shot extensively in Afghanistan, the film did good business with BBC reporting that "it ran to packed houses for 10 weeks in Kabul" The actress's big budget 1993 release Roop Ki Rani Choron Ka Raja was one of India's most expensive films ever made. Though the film failed at the box-office, Sridevi was appreciated.
The last major film Sridevi starred in before she took a break from the industry was Judaai released in 1997. Along with Anil Kapoor and Urmila Matondkar, the actress played a greedy housewife going to extreme lengths for money.
She married Boney Kapoor in 1996 and gave birth to 2 daughters,After a six-year hiatus, Sridevi briefly returned to the small screen in the Sahara sitcom Malini Iyer (2004–2005).Sridevi announced her comeback in early 2011, while working in a new film English Vinglish. directed by Gauri Shinde.She received her ninth nomination for Best Actress for that film. During her career, she has won five Filmfare Awards—three for Hindi films, and one each for Tamil and Telugu films.
